Sandcastles

Sandcastles is a delightful crossover song using a father’s observations of his daughter at play on the beach, and it speaks to the uncertainties of the future.

The original idea is Dan’s, who has three daughters and five grand-daughters. The song is one of Dan’s favorites and he provides the lead vocal on this demo. Enjoy the salt air gently on your face, and the sand in your toes.

The original lyrics and music were written around 1984 by Al Curving and Dan Laurie, registered with the U.S. Copyright Office as part of an album titled “Slices of Life in Story ‘N Song” Vol. 2 in 1985, & revised 2011 to this version.
