The Owin’ Song

“The Owin’ Song” is a simple, yet profound, Gospel song that uses a question-and-question banter format to explore both our micro and macro universe.

The original idea is Dan’s, growing up in once rural NJ, and his observation that humanity has never seen the dark side of the moon; God’s thumbprint on creation.

The original lyrics and music were written in 1984 by Al Curving and Dan Laurie, and registered with the U.S. Copyright Office in 1985 under the title “Who’s Keepin’ Things Goin’?” as part of the album “Slices of Life in Story ‘n Song” Volume 1; and revised to this version in 2009.

We are song writers, and not entertainers. We hope you enjoyed this demo; but we are really looking for someone who has what it takes to make this song a hit. If you would like information about recording this, or any of their other songs please contact us.
